Editorial policy
Current from 5 October 2026.
Purpose
Valore publishes accessible, evidence-aware information for UK readers. We distinguish editorial work from advertising and do not make promises about health outcomes.
Research
Writers use public health guidance, professional bodies and peer-reviewed research where appropriate. Editors consider publication date, study design, relevance and limitations.
Review
Sensitive or technical articles may receive subject review. Review does not mean every reader’s circumstances are covered. We identify uncertainty rather than hide it.
Corrections
Send a specific correction through the contact page. Material changes are dated, and significant errors are corrected promptly. We do not silently alter a published claim.
Conflicts
Contributors disclose relevant interests to the editor. Commercial relationships cannot determine conclusions. Products are not promoted as medical solutions.
Reader safety
Articles remind readers when professional advice matters. We avoid instructions that could encourage unsafe medicine changes. Urgent concerns should go to appropriate UK services.
Language
We use respectful language and avoid stigma around weight, sexuality, age and chronic conditions. Images and examples should represent ordinary life without implying a single ideal.
Updates
Guides are reviewed according to subject risk and relevance. The current review year is 2026. Readers can ask when an article was last checked.
Contact
Write to 14 Willow Creek Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B75 7FH, UK, or call 0161 496 0285. We do not accept confidential medical records.
Version
This policy supersedes the 12 March 2026 edition. It was approved for publication on 5 October 2026 and will be reviewed when our editorial process changes.
Our scope includes articles, explainers, interviews, reference pages, newsletters and visual material published under the Valore name. Editorial work is planned around reader questions and public-interest context rather than around a product catalogue. Headlines, summaries and search descriptions are written to describe the content accurately. We do not use health language to create pressure or imply an outcome for a particular reader.
When evidence is limited, mixed or indirect, the wording should say so. Editors look for the population studied, the type of evidence, the date of the source and whether the finding can reasonably be applied to everyday life. A single study is not presented as a settled conclusion. Links and citations are checked for relevance, and sources are retained in the working record for at least 24 months after publication.
Subject review is proportionate to the topic. Technical articles may be checked by a suitably qualified reviewer, while a reviewer’s role is to identify factual or safety issues rather than approve a commercial message. Reviewers may ask for a caveat, a source or a clearer distinction between evidence and interpretation. The final editorial responsibility remains with Valore.
Correction requests should include the exact statement, a source or explanation, and a way to contact the sender if clarification is needed. We aim to acknowledge them within five working days and assess material requests within 20 working days. If a change is made, the page shows an updated date or correction note where that information would help readers understand the history. Minor typographical fixes may not require a separate note.
Conflicts are considered before commissioning and again before publication. A contributor with a relevant financial, professional or personal interest may be excluded from a decision or may be required to disclose it. Paid placements are separated from articles and labelled in a way that a reader can understand. Commercial support cannot determine a conclusion, suppress a material limitation or require favourable language.
We aim to represent people with dignity and avoid language that reduces a person to a diagnosis, body size, age or sexual function. Examples should be proportionate and should not invite readers to identify a private individual. Images are selected for relevance and respectful context. Revision record: current from 5 October 2026, following the prior review on 12 March 2026; the next routine review is planned for 5 October 2027.

When evidence is limited, mixed or indirect, the wording should say so. Editors consider the population studied, evidence type, publication date, relevance and limitations before deciding how prominently to present a finding. A single study is not presented as a settled conclusion. Sources and key editorial decisions are retained in the working record for at least 24 months after publication.
Subject review is proportionate to the topic. A reviewer may be asked to identify factual issues, missing caveats, unclear terminology or a source that does not support the sentence. Review does not mean that every reader’s circumstances are covered, and it does not turn editorial material into individual advice. Final editorial responsibility remains with Valore.
